Peppermint Pirates Win Again!

The person that goes farthest is generally the one who's most willing to DO and DARE!

The sure thing boat never leaves far from the shore.

-Dale Carnegie-

My Evil Twin at the Helm.

"Fancy Tom" picked out some Evening Wear from Davey Jones' Locker

Dip me in Brine... Look at this Powder Monkey!

Capt snarls... "Here some matches... Now set Yourselves on Fires"

These Peppermint Twists put on their Dancin Shoes!

"ALL HANDS ON DECK..." the Captain ordered!

I was just after some Booty....

Cheers came from the Landlubbers above....we were happy no one threw "Cackle Fruit"

Some the Pirates were real Naughty...Riki was ready to "Walk" down the judges Plank!

Blow me Down...This Lazy Picaroon was just Two Sheets to the Wind.... This Buccaneer drank a Hogshead & was our Best Rum Runner!

"If I could work my will, said Scrooge indignantly,"every idiot who goes about with 'Merry Christmas' on his lips should be boiled in his own pudding , and buried with a stake of holly through his heart. He Should!!" but our little Holiday Angel Pirate grabbed the tiller and set the boat on a new tact.... "Lets Dance Lets Shout"! she exclaimed!

But together they were a Happy Lot...Tom, Riki, Cari Lee and William with Capt Carlos!

Aaaarrrrgggghhhhh!

Shiver me Timbers...

We will all see you Next Year!

Peppermint Pirates win the Yacht Parade!

Captain Kyler and the Sea Cadets met at noon and quickly assembled the pirate ship! my acrobatic friend Jon.....

Santa and his Sleigh

Dusk came earlier than expected.....And the Missing Link at the Helm made way...

With our 1000 watt generator we headed out for a fun nite on the water with our Ostentatious Floating Float!

When we made it to the judges booth....OH NO... we lost power!

Tom used emergency back up power to light the disco ball!

Kyle Siler and his Mates; Jon, Fernando, Tom and the Sea Hag Marj screamed!!!!!..their voices as shrill as freight train brakes!

But us Salty's dont give up easily!

We pushed up our Water Wings (I mean our sleeves) and kept going!

On our second loop around the estuary we were ready for the judges and we put on quite a show of lights, music and we shook our pirate booty's!

In the end.... We won 3rd Place!!!!

and we got pegged as the...

"The Peppermint Pirates!"

The Homeward Journey

We woke up to a cold morning in Vallejo

There was lots of fog

The fog continue to roll in all morning and into the afternoon.

It started to ooze over Angel Island around noon.

After some treacherous sailing across the "Slot" we ended up in the calm waters behind Treasure Island. See the new Bay Bridge spam being completed.

The 2nd Leg

It was a Brisk morning when we left Pittsburg

A Stoic Sailor at the helmThe chilly waters of the Sacremento River ahead....
and me....Oblivious to the Dangerous waters my future....
But then the waters calmed and the 1st mate, Fernando.. took the helm!

"I wanna go swimming!"

Passing under the 780 bridge
And finally through the Carquinez Straits

Maiden Voyage!

Mei Lings last home was in Owl Harbor
Isleton, CA
This is where the previous owners Marcus and Cyndi Atkison live.
Two amazing people who are selling Mei Ling to me and
getting a larger boat to sail and live in Mexico!

Here are some pictures from the 1st part of Mei Lings trip from Isleton to my house on the Sacramento river in Pittsburg, CA.

I had to call the bridge over 7 mile slough to request passage

Motor-sailing along the Sacramento River

Some interesting junk rusting along Horseshoe Bend

The best sailor boy along for a nautical adventure
....."This is not the Bahamas!"

Stopping for martini's and oysters at Humphreys in Antioch.
Docked near dusk.
